The Science Forum 2025

Finland’s largest science event next takes place on January 8–12, 2025. The theme of The Science Forum 2025 is Insights and Oversights.

Events are organised during the same week in Helsinki, Turku, Jyväskylä, Joensuu, Kuopio and Mikkeli. Most of the programme is in Finnish. You can view the entire program on the Finnish program pages. Below you will find the events that are held in English.

The Science Forum is open and free for all. Participation in the events does not require registration unless specifically mentioned in program information.

The Science Forum in Helsinki

Most of the events in English will be held in Helsinki. The Helsinki Science Forum takes place in the main building of the University of Helsinki (Fabianinkatu 33) and in Think Corner (Yliopistonkatu 4). 

At the main building, the event will be held in the lobby on the 1st floor, Tekla Hultin and Studium 1 on the 3rd floor, and the Pieni juhlasali on the 4th floor. In Think Corner, the venue for the Science Forum is Stage.

The café in the main building is open to visitors Thurs 9–17, Fri 9–18, and Sat-Sun 9–16. The Think Corner café is open from Thursday to Friday 9–17 and Saturday 9–16. The book market at the lobby of the main building will serve the visitors from Thursday to Sunday.
