This panel explores transnational populism and polarisation in across Europe and in Latin America. It takes examples from Finland, France, Poland, and Venezuela, also putting the country cases in a regional context. The panel enquires, how does the political polarisation get generated, and what are the consequences for societies. It also asks, what could be the moments of whistle blowing in the building of a polarised situation and what could be done when such a divide is built.
